A dog lover usually will be interested in having his/her dog trained in order to enhance the relationship between the dog and himself or herself. Don't be too hasty in your punishment of a dog when you are training it with the recall command. Remember that dogs eventually learn which action they get punished for and are quick to associate it with pain. If you issue a recall command and punish the dog afterwards, you diminish the chance of the dog responding to a recall command again.

Dogs by nature are docile creature that are not prone to bouts of fierce passion or anger. It is a know fact that a cornered dog or animal becomes aggressive or violent in retaliation when you brutalize it. If you use too much force to correct a dog, it can amount to animal brutality.
