Why Won't My Dog Listen To Me?

A dog lover usually will be interested in having his/her dog trained in order to enhance the relationship between the dog and himself or herself. A dog that is well trained is one that is responsive to the owner's wishes or commands. Basically, the owner of a dog also has to be instructed in the art of understanding and appropriately responding to the needs to his/her dog.

Many people have dogs for a multitude of reasons. Some individuals may require dogs to guard their homes and properties and for this purpose will train a dog to be a guard dog. Dogs are also excellent guide dogs and are used to direct blind people depending on the extent to which they have been taught.

The circus has been an important part of human living for years. Usually, the circus as a place has a wide range of dogs around that are capable of performing a large number of tricks to the delight of their audience. Most dog owners are interested in teaching their dogs a trick or two and as a result train their dogs

to train it to know what it is that you like and what you don't like.|The entire process of training your dog involves what is called basic pet obedience training. The basic pet obedience training consists of short straight forward commands that are meant to condition the dog to act in a desired manner. Basic pet obedience training encompasses five basic behaviors, sit, stay, recall, down and close.

Don't be too hasty in your punishment of a dog when you are training it with the recall command. Remember that dogs eventually learn which action they get punished for and are quick to associate it with pain. If you issue a recall command and punish the dog afterwards, you diminish the chance of the dog responding to a recall command again.

Dogs by nature are docile creature that are not prone to bouts of fierce passion or anger. It is a know fact that a cornered dog or animal becomes aggressive or violent in retaliation when you brutalize it. If you use too much force to correct a dog, it can amount to animal brutality.
